About us

Our Clara Campoamor school is situated in Móstoles. Móstoles is a town twenty kilometres south of Madrid, the capital of Spain. It has a population of more than 200,000 inhabitants.

The school was founded in 1987 and was appointed a bilingual school last school year. We have almost 800 students, over 60 teachers and 13 non-educational workers. We are a multicultural school with students whose families come from countries such as Ecuador, Morocco, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland or Equatorial Guinea).

Furthermore, our school keeps its gates open in the afternoons and offers out-of-school activities such as guided study, sports, drama clubs, school choir, the school magazine Clamor, etc. We have participate and still participate in Comenius activities and keep several student exchanges with schools in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy.

Our school has the following facilities:

  • 40 classrooms (with 16 interactive whiteboards and Internet access in every room)
  • Six buildings, two gyms, two technology workshops, one dining hall, one school canteen.
  • Sports fields and gardens.
  • Three computer laboratories.
  • Laboratories of Biology and Geology, Physics and Chemistry.
  • Visual Art and Music specific classrooms.
  • One school library.
  • A department of Pedagogical Counselling.
  • Two assembly halls.

Our educational offer in the academic year 2015-2016 is the following:

  • 1st year of CSE (Compulsory Secondary Education): 6 groups (5 in the Bilingual Program and one in the Bilingual Section). In the bilingual section and program there are more than 150 students this year. These students have five hours of English a week and learn other subjects in English too. Among the subjects our students can learn in English are Technology, Biology, Geography, Visual Art or Physical Education. The number of subjects depends on whether the student is in the Program or in the Section.
  • 2nd year of CSE: 7 groups (5 in the Bilingual Program and two in the Bilingual Section). These students have five hours of English a week and learn other subjects in English too. Among the subjects our students can learn in English are Biology, Geography, Music or Physical Education. The number of subjects depends on whether the student is in the Program or in the Section.
  • 3rd year of CSE: 6 groups (4 in the Bilingual Program and two in the Bilingual Section). These students have five hours of English a week and learn other subjects in English too, including Music, Technology or Physical Education.  Students in the Section take Social Sciences, Biology and Physics and Chemistry too.
  • 4th year of CSE: 6 groups (4 in the Bilingual Program and two in the Bilingual Section). These students have five hours of English a week and learn other subjects in English too, such as Physical Education or Computing. Students in the Section can take Social Sciences, Biology or Physics and Chemistry.
  • 1st year of Bachillerato (Non-compulsory Secondary Education): 3 groups, with specialization in Humanities, Socials Sciences, Health Sciences and Technology. Students can take either English or Advanced English.
  • 2nd year of Bachillerato: 3 groups, with specialization in Humanities, Socials Sciences, Health Sciences and Technology.
